Duster jacket. Fits up to size 18. Rare Mossi indigo
The Mossi are the largest ethnic group in Burkina Faso, numbering some five to six million people. In the centuries preceding colonisation by the French at the end of the C19th the Mossi had used their skill as cavalry to maintain a large and powerful empire. Both weaving and indigo dyeing flourished in the region. Today vintage Mossi indigo cloths, woven from soft handspun cotton and faded through years of heavy use to a variety of subtle shades, are in great demand.

My texture/textile story
Finding purpose through creating
Parker Simonne Designs was established in 2017 after a cathartic trip to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
My desire to create comes from a desire to live a more creative life.
I decided to take a leap of faith and spend more time seeking ways to make my work life more meaningful and to be more intentional in my creative endeavors.
After over years working in the Gerontology field I started to imagine new possibilities.
parker + simonne designs is a step towards living a more authentic, engaged life.
My inspiration is rooted in a love of world travel, global textiles and the need to find comfortable and colorful wearable art that looks great on many BODY types.
I hope you find something you like in what I create.
I am always open to ideas and collaborations. Blessings, xoxo
